The Oconomowoc Area Foundation is pleased to welcome Tim Schneider, CEO and president of Bank Five Nine to its Board of Directors.

Tim graciously agreed to join the board in November 2025 after the death of Nate Zastrow, lifelong Oconomowoc resident and CFO at Bank Five Nine. Nate had served as OAF board chair from 2014-2019 and had recently joined the board again in 2024.

A graduate of UW River Falls in 1988 with a business degree, Tim has worked within the banking industry for nearly 40 years, including roles as an agriculture and commercial lending officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Bank Five Nine, he was a founder and CEO of Investors Community Bank in Manitowoc.

Tim believes strongly in giving back to local organizations. He is a board member of the Waukesha County Center for Growth, the Glacial Community YMCA, the Wisconsin Bankers Association, the American Bankers Association Community Bankers Council, and the UW River Falls Foundation Board of Directors.

“I’m proud to have been asked to serve on the OAF board. Bank Five Nine’s mission statement is ‘Make Lives Better,’ which also strongly aligns with my personal values. The OAF exists to improve the lives of others in Oconomowoc and is a perfect extension of this mission statement,” Tim said.

Tim and his wife Heather have two grown children, Tori and TJ. When he’s not at work, you’ll find Tim volunteering in many capacities. While in Manitowoc, he served as the Co-Chair of New North-regional economic development, and founded the Economic Development Corp, now known as Progress Lakeshore.
