Nick Bickler
Nick BicklerTreasurer

Nick has lived in the Oconomowoc area for nearly his entire life. He and his wife Brooke currently reside in the Village of Oconomowoc Lake with their two French Bulldogs. Nick is the Chief Investment Officer at Three Leaf Partners, a Milwaukee based commercial real estate investment and development firm. Nick is an active Oconomowoc community member, most recently leading a collaborative event with the Pat Connaughton Foundation, the Lake Country DockHounds, and the OAF which brought a basketball clinic to Oconomowoc area grade school children. Nick also serves on the Finance Committee and Board of Review for the Village of Oconomowoc Lake, is an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and an annual participant in Christopher’s Shoot Against Childhood Cancer. In his spare time Nick enjoys boating, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.

Curt Downes
Curt Downes

Curt and his wife, Carrie, grew up in Brookfield and moved to Oconomowoc in 2015. Curt is a Realtor with Mahler Sotheby’s International Realty. His involvement in nonprofit organizations extends back to the late 1980s when his mom started the ALS Association of Wisconsin. Curt held the first fundraiser for that organization and continued on being a Board Member and member of the Leadership Team for many years. In addition, serving on the boards of the YMCA at Pabst Farms and the Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce have been a highlight and pleasure. Serving and giving back to the community has been an integral part of Curt and Carrie’s married life. Curt considers it a privilege to be serving on the OAF Board of Directors.

Glenn and his wife Lori have called charming Oconomowoc home since 1987. Their family roots run deep in Lake Country. Both of Glenn’s parents grew up in Delafield and attended Oconomowoc High School. As a resident for nearly 40 years, Glenn has been involved in the community from the Oconomowoc Area School District Advisory Board to The Oconomowoc Rotary Club and recently as the Foundation President overseeing the addition of the Splash Pad at Roosevelt Park. Glenn and Lori have two adult boys and a total of six grandchildren. Glenn’s career in residential real estate has spanned more than 34 years. As an advisory member to the Oconomowoc Area Foundation, then a board member and now the Chairman of the OAF, the legacy commitment that the OAF has in Oconomowoc is instrumental in changing lives through the generous gifts of the community. Glenn and Lori are OAF Signature Club members and count the community foundation as a beloved member of the Oconomowoc family.

Paula Jacobs

Paula’s non-profit work spans 30 years. YMCA roles focused on operations, marketing and philanthropy led her to Oconomowoc in 2001. She joined efforts to build the YMCA and became development VP until 2014. Paula is Vice President, Philanthropy for ProHealth Care. Her community involvement includes Rotary leadership, Women of Distinction awards judge, in addition to serving on various advisory teams. She received the Women in Business Leadership award in 2013. Paula feels privileged to help steward gifts from generous OAF donors to meet critical needs and enrich life for people of all ages. Paula and husband, Sean, have enjoyed raising two children in Oconomowoc’s beautiful setting.

Bob Johnson
Bob JohnsonChairman Emeritus

Bob has lived most of his life in Wisconsin; he and his incredible wife Julie, who passed away in 2010, along with their two young children and Golden Retriever moved to Oconomowoc in the late 90s. Their son, daughter-in-law, and five grandchildren still live in the community. Bob spent 25 years working in the computer and software industries, starting in sales and working up to senior management, and ultimately ownership. After selling the business, he spent the next 20 years with Baird as Vice President and Financial Advisor. Bob’s love for his community has inspired his active involvement in serving on boards of the YMCA, OHS Booster Club, Ausblick Ski Team, La Belle Yacht Club and Sailing School, Wisconsin Junior Racing, and the OAF.

Amy Kavelaris
Amy Kavelaris

Born and raised in Oconomowoc, Amy has lived around the country, but came back with her husband to raise their family in one of the best cities in the nation! Amy finds great joy in serving this incredible community through some of the most wonderful non-profits, including Zachariah’s Acres, committee chair for the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts, and through the great honor of serving with the OAF. Amy is a best-selling author, illustrator, commercial artist, and business owner. She grew up drawing and writing poetry in a tree overlooking the lake and now her work can be spotted in Target, Walmart, Costco, Anthropologie, Better Homes & Gardens, as well as in homes around the globe. She has collaborated with countless clients, including Grammy Award-Winning artists, Skechers Shoes, Pampers Diapers, and has served as a judge for the Miss America Foundation. Amy and her family live in Oconomowoc, where they enjoy playing tennis together, paddle boarding, traveling, serving in their children’s school and church community.

Pat McNamee
Pat McNamee

Pat is a life-long resident of Oconomowoc. He and his wife Mary Sue have two grown children and three grandchildren. He is founder and president of Pat’s Heating & Air Conditioning, which is celebrating its 33rd anniversary this year. Pat has long been involved in the community and has served on the Vision Committee, as well as past President of Board of Directors for the YMCA at Pabst Farms in Oconomowoc, and on the Board of Directors for the Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital Foundation. He has also been instrumental in the development of real estate projects in the area including Summit Center Marketplace, Woodside Farms Subdivision, and the Stanton Place Apartments. In his spare time Pat enjoys archery hunting and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Katie Miller

Katie’s non-profit work began when she was in middle school. As the child of a professional fundraiser, she “volunteered” to help with everything from stuffing envelopes to organizing special events. Since then she has had the privilege of working with, for and on behalf of, a number of community organizations including United Way in Waukesha County, Carroll University, Hebron House of Hospitality, UW-Waukesha Foundation, YMCA at Pabst Farms, the Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation, The Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce, Silver Streak, Shorehaven and the Friends of Oconomowoc Parks & Trails. Katie enjoys exploring new places, time with a good book, sunny days and relaxing with family and friends. She can often be spotted helping at special events around the community. Katie believes deeply in the mission, values and legacy of the Oconomowoc Area Foundation and is honored to work toward expanding our impact even further.
Sigi Miller
Sigi Miller
Sigi Miller was born and raised in Oconomowoc. She and her husband Mike raised their three children in Oconomowoc and are now enjoying spending time with their six grandchildren. Sigi has an associate’s degree in political science and worked in the healthcare field for 35 years. She has also been passionate about giving back to her community, volunteering in the school district and for many community organizations throughout the years, receiving the Oconomowoc Chamber of Commerce “Giraffe Award” for sticking her neck out for others through her community service in 2012. Sigi has served as president of the Parent Teacher Student Association, and on the board for the Oconomowoc Lake Club. She has also shared her time and talents for many years on the fundraising committee for the Lake Area Free Clinic’s yearly Gala, and currently volunteers at AngelsGrace Hospice. Sigi is always on the move with many hobbies, but most especially her love of spending time with family and friends.
Jim Olson
Jim Olson

Jim has lived in Oconomowoc since 2006. Prior to retiring, he enjoyed a 35-year career working in manufacturing in a variety of engineering and operations leadership roles. Throughout his career he had the opportunity to live and work in Wisconsin, Ohio, El Paso, Texas/Juarez, Mexico, and Calgary, AB Canada. With his wife Lesle, Jim enjoys traveling and outdoor adventures throughout North America and Europe. With both work and leisure, he is inspired by witnessing kindness and good deeds in many cultures. Jim and Leslie have been OAF Signature Club members for over 10 years. Jim is honored to have been asked to serve as an OAF board member and looks forward to helping residents in our community.

Kevin Pehler
Kevin Pehler

Kevin was raised in Oconomowoc since the age of three and moved out of state after college. He and his wife, Laura, raised two kids in Georgia and Massachusetts before returning to Oconomowoc, the town they took for granted, in 2016. Kevin started a media company called 3barn shortly upon his return home. He belongs to several local organizations that all have the common belief of doing good – the OAF being the epitome of that!

Cal Schmidt

Cal and his wife Suzy have been part of the Oconomowoc community since 1991. Cal is retired from Northwestern Mutual, where he was a senior executive. His roles included leading all product operations, leading the broker dealer, and information technology. In addition to his role on the OAF, Cal is an active volunteer for St. Jerome Parish, Rogers Behavioral Health System, the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs, and several lake and snowmobile organizations in Forest County, where he spends time with Suzy at their lake home.

Tim Schneider
Tim Schneider
Tim Schneider is the President and CEO of Bank Five Nine, a 14 branch, $2.6 billion bank headquartered in Oconomowoc. A graduate of UW River Falls in 1988 with a business degree, Tim has worked within the banking industry for nearly 40 years, including roles as an agriculture and commercial lending officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Bank Five Nine, Tim was a founder and CEO of Investors Community Bank in Manitowoc, where his experience growing up on a dairy farm helped the organization become one of the state’s top agriculture lenders. Tim believes strongly in creating an exceptional culture at his company, and in giving back to local organizations. He is a board member of the Waukesha County Center for Growth, the Glacial Community YMCA, the Wisconsin Bankers Association, the American Bankers Association Community Bankers Council, and the UW River Falls Foundation Board of Directors. Tim has raised two children with his wife, Heather.
Peter Schwabe

Peter Schwabe has been a proud member of the Oconomowoc community since the early 1990s, when he and his wife, Nancy, moved here to raise their family. A passionate advocate for local growth and the arts, Peter has taken on leadership roles with organizations such as the Oconomowoc Arts Center, the Economic Development Committee, St. Jerome’s Church, and the Knights of Columbus, as well as regional groups including the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Women’s Care Center. Most recently, as President and third-generation leader of Peter Schwabe, Inc. – a family-owned commercial construction company building throughout the Midwest since 1927 – Peter combined business leadership with a commitment to community service. He and Nancy enjoy hiking and the vibrant performing arts scene in Lake Country and Milwaukee. Peter is honored to continue serving Oconomowoc through the OAF.
Bob Snyder
Bob Snyder

Robert is an attorney practicing in Oconomowoc with Snyder & Ek law firm. His practice focuses on estate planning and services for closely held businesses. Robert graduated from Marquette University in 1985 with a B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting degree, and Marquette University Law School in 1988. He is Chairman of the Board at Bank Five Nine and serves as council or as a board or committee member for multiple non-profits in the greater Oconomowoc area.

Andrea Stack
Andrea Stack

Andrea, her husband Greg and two sons have lived and sailed on Lac La Belle off and on for over 20 years. Inspired by her neighbors’ commitment to this community, and now retired, Andrea felt ready to join the cause. She brings significant experience in finance, education, and working with nonprofit organizations to fulfilling OAF’s mission and creating lasting progress.

Rebecca Seymour

Rebecca stepped into the role of Foundation Director in January 2024, after serving on the OAF’s board of directors for the last two years. Rebecca grew up in the Lake Country area, returning to Oconomowoc in 2006. As a writer and photojournalist for more than 25 years, she has had the opportunity to cover positive feature stories for the Oconomowoc Arts Center, community newspapers and publications, and nonprofit organizations. Rebecca has also served on the board for the Oconomowoc Scholarship Fund, and most recently for Family Promise of Waukesha County and Oconomowoc High School Band Aids. She and her husband Bill and their two daughters live alongside a beautiful little lake just outside of Oconomowoc.
Will Janisch Greater Milwaukee Fund
Will JanischSenior Philanthropic Adviser, Greater Milwaukee Foundation
Will Janisch has worked in the nonprofit development field for over two decades and has been with the Greater Milwaukee Foundation for since 2011 managing their affiliate community foundations in Oconomowoc, Cedarburg, and West Bend. In this capacity Will provides administrative support, new donor development, board management, and donor services to a growing portfolio.
Danielle Marquardt
Dani BreenProgram Officer, Greater Milwaukee Foundation
Dani has been a Program Officer at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation since 2019 and has supported the Oconomowoc Area Foundation in their grant making since then. In this role she helps area nonprofits through the process of applying for grants, as well as working with the OAF board to make funding decisions. Before coming to the foundation, Dani worked as a community organizer in Milwaukee and currently resides in Milwaukee.
