The Oconomowoc Area Foundation celebrates a record year of giving
by Rebecca Seymour
‘Tis the Holiday Season and there is so much to be grateful for! As we celebrate the last weeks of 2025, it’s also important to pause to reflect on the blessings and lessons that we encountered throughout the year.
In 2025, the Oconomowoc Area Foundation received a record amount of grant applications from area nonprofit organizations asking for our support as they tirelessly work to make impactful differences in our community. Because of your generosity, we had the opportunity to award $341,000 to 45 local nonprofits. Since our founding in 2002, we have infused $5.3 million into the community, supporting 135 nonprofits. We couldn’t do this without YOU!
The Oconomowoc Area Foundation generates opportunities to join our resources together – increasing our generosity in ways that allow us to be a part of something much greater. We are helping feed area children in need, supporting families who may be on the threshold of homelessness, showing our cherished seniors that it’s our turn to help take care of them, creating amazing gathering spaces like the Boardwalk along Fowler Lake and so much more.
In this season of giving, join us on a journey of compassion, connection, and meaningful contributions and discover what can happen when we set out to do more for those in our community who really need it the most. Extend kindness and warmth to those who may need extra support during this festive season.
And don’t forget, giving locally strengthens your community in ways that ripple far beyond the dollar amount! It’s about giving back to the circle we are all a part of. Include the Oconomowoc Area Foundation in your end-of-year giving – You’ll be glad you did! www.theoaf.org/donate-now
