The Oconomowoc Area Foundation announces the appointment of Glenn Hanon as the new Chairman of its Board of Directors in January 2025. Glenn takes the helm as Bob Johnson stepped down in December after serving in the position since 2021.

For the past eight years, Glenn has been an active supporter of the Oconomowoc Area Foundation. He first served on the OAF’s Advisory Board, then joined the Board of Directors in 2020, accepting the role of Vice Chair in 2022.

Stepping into his new role as OAF board chair, Glenn will continue to lend his expertise and guidance in increasing the foundation’s ability to make meaningful differences in the greater Oconomowoc area through the generosity of community members.

“The need is great in Oconomowoc, despite what people may think about our beautiful corner of the earth. That is why I chose to serve as a team member of the OAF. We have a unique ability to positively impact the lives right around us. There is much to do and I look forward to being a part of that change,” he said.

Glenn and his wife Lori have called charming Oconomowoc home since 1987. Their family roots run deep in Lake Country. Both of Glenn’s parents grew up in Delafield and attended Oconomowoc High School.

Glenn’s career in residential real estate has spanned more than 34 years. He has also been involved in the community, including the Oconomowoc Area School District Advisory Board, and Oconomowoc Rotary Club, and recently as the Oconomowoc Rotary Foundation President overseeing the addition of the Splash Pad at Roosevelt Park.

Glenn and Lori have two adult boys and six grandchildren. The family’s membership in the OAF Signature Club helps build a legacy of local giving for generations to come.
