Ok, they might be horsin’ around a little … a lot. But it’s all for a great cause, and beyond the hilarious hijinks and goofy getups – they have raised thousands of dollars for the Oconomowoc community. Kevin Pehler is the owner and founder of 3barn media production and marketing company in Oconomowoc. The name of his business was inspired by the three barns located on the property where he and his team work their magic in creating video production, digital marketing and more for their clients.
Kevin installed a basketball hoop in one of the barns and it soon became a great place to blow off steam and sweat a little, and an outlet to bounce creative ideas around. Epic challenges of the age-old game of HORSE became a common occurrence. “The name of our version of HORSE morphed into STOOPS. Of course, we then started making up our own rules, which really means anything goes,” he said, laughing.

The 3barn team’s passion for the sidesplitting shenanigans that happen during their games of STOOPS sparked an idea to get others involved for a good cause. After putting the word out in January, the list of generous contestants quickly grew, including Oconomowoc Mayor Bob Magnus, Bank Five Nine, Lake Country DockHounds, Shorehaven, Snips & Giggles, Roots, Sentry Equipment, Siding Unlimited, Silver Circle Sports Events, MSI General, Van Horn Automotive, and Ewald Automotive.
The first 10 STOOPS games raised $5K for the new Oconomowoc Rotary Splash Pad. And now his team is focused on raising funds for the Oconomowoc Area Foundation. Games are expertly filmed and produced into hilarious videos which are posted on 3barn’s YouTube channel.
“It’s important for me to roll up my sleeves and give back. It’s about community helping community. We just want to raise money and keep having fun,” said Kevin. For more info about 3barn and STOOPS, visit 3barn.com and youtube.com/@3barnmedia.
